Swiss and Croatian Ministers Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis visited Croatia and met with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman to discuss bilateral relations, Swiss-EU relations, and the geopolitical context. Switzerland and Croatia have strong ties, which have been further strengthened by Switzerland's second contribution to Croatia as an EU member state, totaling CHF 45.7 million until 2029 for priority areas like water management and research.

Mr Cassis informed Mr Radman about Switzerland's plan to host a high-level peace conference on Ukraine in June 2024, aiming to facilitate dialogue for lasting peace. The two ministers acknowledged Switzerland and Croatia's collaboration in humanitarian demining efforts in Ukraine, with Switzerland hosting the Ukraine Mine Action Conference in October.
